School Games Award

This year we have been awarded a Silver Award from the Sainsbury's School Games.  This award scheme is aimed at acknowledging the work of individual schools in the promotion of PE and Sport.  The award takes in to consideration the amount of PE that is taught within the curriculum, the amount of extra-curricular sport that is offered and taken up by the pupils and the amount of competitive sporting opportunities that are offered to the pupils during the year. It also promotes leadership for young people in sport.

This is the first time the school has applied for the award and are "over the moon" to be awarded at Silver.  Gold Standard - here we come!

Prince's Teaching Institute Feathers

Following the school’s involvement in the first ever Primary Leadership Programme run by the PTI, we have been awarded our ‘feathers’. The classroom-based research project we did was centred on raising boys’ enjoyment and attainment in writing through Science lessons. It was a very successful project and we are proud to have been awarded the logo in recognition of the school’s work. Mrs Coupe is a Headteacher Leader for the PTI Primary Leadership Programme and supports other school leaders in deciding the focus and recording the success of their classroom based research projects.
