Christina Stewart

I am Chair of Governors and am passionate about Burbage as my children have benefitted in so many ways from their time at Burbage.

I joined Burbage Governing Body as a Parent Governor in December 2015.

I have worked for much of the last twenty years in finance which is an important aspect of governance, these skills help the school to continue to improve, thereby ensuring every child is able to reach their full potential.

CONTACTING ME: I can be contacted through the main school office - please feel free to be in touch if you would like more information about the Governing Body or have any other points you would like to speak to me about.

Martin Lockwood - Safeguarding governor

I joined the Governing Body as a Parent Governor in January 2015. I have two children attending Burbage Primary School, spread across the year groups.

My responsibilities include input into the Marketing strategy of the school, together with link governor responsibility for Science, Geography and Design.

I have spent the last 20 years working in the Supply Chain software industry. This experience of course is not directly related to education, but in my role as a governor I hope to apply some of the skills I have acquired in my business career, and help to continuously improve the education of all of the children at Burbage Primary School.

It is a very exciting time for the growth of Burbage Primary School, and I believe that being part of the Excalibur Academy Trust with the “all-through learning” ethos will provide the children with increased opportunity over the next few years.

David Rose - Pre-school governor

I started as Parent Governor at Burbage Primary School in December 2015. I live in Burbage and have two children at the school, with another due to join in the future. I really want to help the school in the governor role and will be working closely with the other governors and staff to continue Burbage Primary School's success. I am excited about the work that is going on at the school and its prospects for the future.
