Miss Arkle - Reception Class and Year 1 Teacher - Wrens and Robins

Miss Arkle is in her third year of teaching at Burbage Primary School and is passionate about working with the youngest children in our school.

Miss Arkle grew up in the North East of England where she attened college to study law and psychology. After college, she left her home town of Sunderland to join the Army, where she served as a Royal Military Police Officer. Having spent six years in Germany, she was excited to return to the UK and begin her career in teaching.

As a creative teacher, and using her philosophical and child developmental studies, she is  committed to providing the children at Burbage with happy, fun and engaging learning experiences.
When  not at school, she is at home with a menagerie of 23 animals! When these are not keeping her busy she enjoys hiking across Salisbury plain and dancing to the new tunes in Zumba!

Mr Evans and Mrs Nicholson Y5 Teachers - Kestrels

Mr Evans had recently returned to the teaching profession having spent  7 years living and working in the USA, Germany and most recently Dubai. Mr Evans is passionate about delivering engaging and innovative lessons, using interactive technologies wherever possible.

Outside of school Mr Evans loves to travel with his family. This year he is determined to tick off even more destinations and experiences from his ever growing 'bucket list'.

Mrs Nicholson has taught for many years, across the primary age range.  After taking a break from the profession to look after her own children she returned to teaching part time in 2015.

She enjoys teaching a creative and imaginative curriculum - bringing her knowledge and love of literature, music, French and art into as much of the curriculum as possible.  She strives to make learning a 'hands on' experience for children and the classroom an inspiring place to be.

Mrs Sinclair - Year 6 Teacher - Kites

Currently teaching Kite Class, Mrs Sinclair is passionate about learning about anything and everything.  Her aim is to share this passion with the children she teaches through fun and focused lessons and help them achieve their full potential.

Mrs Sinclair is mad about maths - in a big way! - and leads maths across the school.  She also manages to slip maths into almost every subject she teaches... even art.

Originally from the Midlands, Mrs Sinclair moved to Wiltshire nearly 20 years ago where she has brought up her own family.  When not working, she is a keen rugby fan and enjoys spending time on the family allotment.
