Burbage PTA is a registered charity made up of a friendly and dedicated team who work together to raise money for the school.

Every parent, carer and staff member is a member of our PTA and the committee is made up of a smaller group who actively help out with the planning and organising of event. Everyone is welcome to get involved either at our committee meetings or with an event – we are grateful for any help whether it be in the background or at events themselves, or whether it’s a one off or more regularly.

We have had some great fun fundraising events over the last couple of years – from the bigger ones like our Christmas and Summer fairs, the village Burns night event and Chocolate Bingo, to the smaller lolly and cake sales held on the playground regularly through the year and the blue bag collections and film nights.

The aim of the PTA is to raise money for the enrichment of the education of the children and the funds raised last year have paid for – among other projects – the painting of the Year 5 and 6 classrooms, large screen for the new reception classroom, event shelters for Sports Day and the summer fair, class trips, the whole school pantomime trip and also smaller items like atlases and dictionaries.

All ideas for fundraising are welcome, as are new ideas to make regular events more successful. If you would like to get in touch with any questions, thoughts, ideas or offers of help please drop us an email on ptaburbage@gmail.com or speak to any of the committee if you see them on the playground.

Previous Events

A Summer Ball; Children's Film Nights; Christmas and Summer Fairs; Burn's Night; Barn Dance; Blue Bag Collections; Christmas Card Making; Mum's Night Christmas Dinner and Ice Lolly Sales. We raise over £3,000 each year and couldn't do it without the support and involvement of our families.  Money raised has gone to support class trips; improve the library; develop the ICT resources within school; develop the playground markings amongst many other projects.
